Privacy Policy
Piggybank Financial for Mac · Last updated: October 2026
The short version: Piggybank Financial does not collect, send, share or sell any information about you. Everything you enter stays on your own Mac.
What the app stores
The app stores the information you type in: accounts, transactions, bills, goals, budgets, receipts and photos you attach, and your settings. All of it is kept in the app's own storage on your Mac. It is not sent anywhere.
What I collect
Nothing. The app has no accounts and no sign-in, and it contains no analytics, advertising, tracking or crash-reporting tools. I never receive your data, and I could not read it if I wanted to.
Network
The app does not connect to the internet to do its work. It does not contact any server of mine or of anyone else.
Bank and online accounts
The app does not connect to your bank, cards or any online account, and it never asks for a bank login or password. You enter your own transactions, or import a CSV file you have downloaded yourself.
Notifications
If you allow them, reminders are created on your Mac and shown by macOS. They are scheduled and delivered locally and are not sent through any server.
Backups and exports
When you choose to export a backup or a CSV, the app saves a file where you tell it to. What you do with that file is up to you. If you store it in a cloud service, that service's policy applies to the copy you put there.
Photos and files
If you attach a receipt photo or PDF, the app reads only the file you choose, and keeps a copy inside its own storage.
Children
The app is a personal finance tool and is not directed at children. It collects no information from anyone.
Deleting your data
You are in control. Settings ▸ Data ▸ Erase All Data removes your accounts, transactions and other information from the app. Uninstalling the app removes its stored data from your Mac. Backup files you exported remain until you delete them.
Changes to this policy
If this ever changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date, and the app's release notes will mention it.
